Have it CUSTOM MADE JUST FOR YOU!!   You choose your size and you choose from your favorite Hilary Catherine tartan!! Are you tired of waiting for an outfit in your size to be listed on eBay, or having to pay the high prices and inflated shipping rates at high overhead Tartan Shops?? Have you had it with having to pay extra for a "custom" outfit because your dancer is a little thicker or thinner then the norm?? LOOK NO FURTHER!! Your  outfit will be skillfully made and proportioned for your dancer and will conform to current SOBHD regulations.     I only use with the highest quality 100% cotton velvet for the vest, and it will be interfaced with hair canvas and lined in cotton broadcloth for coolness and comfort.  The front is boned to keep it's shape, and  you tell me whether you would like square or rounded petals with or without braid and 10 thistle buttons.   I specialize in highland dance costumes, especicially the ones everyone else won't touch---VELVET AND WOOL...Hilary Catherine (that's me!!)  makes each and every piece, from start to finish,  so you can be assured of the consistancy and quality. As the mother of  2 dancers and a budding piper, I understand the importance of a properly made outfit on your dancer. The gathered skirt is made with one of my four, 100% worsted wool Dress McKellar tartans (pictured below).  It has a comfortable waistband secured with sturdy velcro closure.  This skirt has lots of room for growth, and i will leave a generous hem!!   Each tartan has a velvet colour to match, (the pink can be worn with either the rose pink velvet or with fuschia velvet) and all  these tartans look stunning with black velvet for the vest. The plaid is fringed on all sides and measures about 30X 40inches. A Peasant style blouse and extra-full underslip are also included in this offer!! Created with care in a non-smoking environment.
